The Deckel FP1 is a small universal milling machine for the toolroom, built by Friedrich Deckel in Munich from about 1936 to 1945 as the successor to the belt-driven FP, the machine before it.
The tour clamps one steel block in the vice and changes the machine around it, from horizontal milling to slotting, and the history follows the machine and its maker through the Second World War.
